The relocation of the Yungang Grottoes Immigration Service Station in Datong to a new location Optimizing services for foreign tourists to support high-quality development of cultural and tourism industries

Community Culture Network News (Zhang Jinding, Jianhua Correspondent Gao Xiaoyu) In order to further meet the needs of foreign tourists and enhance the international reception capacity of Yungang Grottoes, on the morning of June 17, 2024, the Datong Yungang Grottoes Immigration Service Station was successfully relocated to a new location. This relocation will bring a more thoughtful and efficient service experience to foreign tourists. At the relocation ceremony, several leaders including Cui Zhiquan, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Datong Public Security Bureau, Zhong Zhigang, Deputy District Mayor and Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Yungang District Branch, Zhang Xiaoli, Director of the Exit Entry Management Bureau of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, Cui Xiaoxia, Vice President of the Yungang Grottoes Research Institute, and Xu Xiangxin, member of the Party Committee of the Branch, attended the scene and witnessed this milestone moment together.

Vice District Mayor Zhong Zhigang stated at the relocation ceremony that the relocation of the service station is not only a deepening of cooperation between the entry and exit management work and the Yungang Grottoes scenic area, but also a concrete manifestation of the improvement of cultural and tourism service quality. Zhong Zhigang emphasized that the new service station will adhere to the principle of "entry and exit, service without boundaries", and is committed to providing more humane and professional services for foreign tourists.

After the ceremony, the service station also carried out promotional activities on the "three non" (illegal entry, illegal residence, and illegal employment) issues of foreigners, aiming to raise the legal awareness of foreign tourists and ensure their travel in China is legal and compliant.

After the relocation and comprehensive upgrade of the Yungang Grottoes Immigration Service Station, the international image of the Yungang Grottoes Scenic Area has been completely reshaped, and it is expected to attract a large number of foreign tourists one after another. This important improvement not only brings new strong impetus to the international development of Yungang Grottoes, but also fully demonstrates the firm commitment of the Yungang Branch of Datong Public Security Bureau to improving the quality of tourism services and promoting international cultural exchanges. The Yungang Branch of Datong Public Security Bureau is actively promoting the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry through continuous optimization of services, and striving to make the Yungang Grottoes a globally renowned cultural and tourism hotspot. Since the completion of the Yungang Grottoes Immigration Service Station in October 2023, it has successfully received 2511 foreign tourists and processed 3 reports of foreign tourists seeking help. It has also provided over 200 consultation services.
