Taking the wedding ceremony as the starting point, "The Joyous Event" is a documentary that records Chinese - style wedding customs. It showcases the ethnic cultures through aspects such as living environments, languages and scripts, intangible cultural heritages, songs, dances, costumes, traditional foods, and local specialties.
