By giving full play to the leading role of "base demonstration + connecting farmers and driving agriculture", it has continuously optimized the planting structure and expanded the scale of the konjac industry, broadening the path for the masses to increase their income and get rich, and injecting strong momentum into rural revitalization.

At present, it is the critical period for konjac sowing. In the konjac planting base in Youfang Village, Yongfu Town, villagers are seizing the time to plant konjac seeds, and the scene is bustling. In recent years, Yongfu Town has made scientific plans. By guiding returned migrants and local talents to develop the characteristic konjac industry and coordinating various preferential agricultural policies, it provides entrepreneurial support in aspects such as land transfer. Wei Zuohong, a large - scale konjac grower in the local area, is one of the beneficiaries. He used to work in Shanghai as a driver. With the support of the industry - driven prosperity policies, he returned to his hometown, transferred more than 200 mu of land to plant konjac, and led the villagers to increase their income and get rich. "I used to drive in Shanghai. I found that the konjac industry in my hometown was developing well, so I came back and transferred more than 200 mu of land. I hire more than 20 people to work every day, and the work will probably end in late April," said Wei Zuohong, a konjac grower.

Like Wei Zuohong, when Wu Junjian, a villager, returned to his hometown to visit relatives, he saw the broad prospects of the booming konjac industry in his hometown and resolutely joined the ranks of konjac planting. "I started this business because I saw that the konjac industry was promising. I came back last year and transferred more than 200 mu of land. I harvested more than 140 tons of konjac and earned about 800,000 yuan. The profit is quite good," Wu Junjian, a konjac grower, told reporters.
The konjac industry has achieved fruitful results, and employment near home has promoted income growth. With the continuous development and expansion of the konjac industry, it not only revitalizes the local land resources, but also the planting bases have absorbed the surrounding villagers to work nearby, allowing villagers to take care of their families and earn money at the same time. "I'm a villager nearby. Working here allows me to take good care of my family and earn a living," said Rao Zhongling, a villager in Youfang Village, who was busy working in the fields.

In recent years, in order to expand and strengthen the konjac industry, Yongfu Town has taken measures such as industrial subsidies, supporting the construction of processing plants, and improving the infrastructure of the konjac park to extend, supplement, and strengthen the industry chain, and enhance the local processing and transformation capacity of konjac. The town invested more than 8 million yuan to build a konjac primary processing plant integrating konjac purchase, cleaning, and slicing. Adopting the operation model of "enterprise + farmer + purchase - back", it signs purchase - back contracts with growers, so that villagers "only need to plant without worrying about selling", greatly relieving the concerns of growers.

"Our processing plant purchases local fresh konjac for primary processing from October to January of the following year. The processing volume is about 6,000 tons, and it can absorb more than 30 local villagers to work nearby," introduced Wang Zuxiu, the person in charge of the konjac primary processing plant.
At present, the konjac industry has become an important pillar industry for the local people to increase their income and get rich. Based on the continuous growth of the konjac industry, Yongfu Town is accelerating the adjustment of the agricultural industry structure, and continuously making efforts in aspects such as konjac seed breeding, konjac base construction, market - entity cultivation, and brand building. Last year, the konjac planting area in the whole town reached 2,150 mu, more than 100 new jobs were created, more than 1 million yuan in labor remuneration was paid, and the per capita income increased by more than 10,000 yuan.
