Strong alliances have yielded abundant results. At the Mucuan Purple Tea Promotion and Tea Culture Research Season Investment Promotion Conference held on April 16, the county government signed cooperation agreements with the China National Tea Research Institute, six local tea companies, and six out-of-county tea companies (universities). The total contract amount reached 189 million yuan, ushering in a new chapter for the development of Mucuan tea industry.

At the signing ceremony, the Mucuan County People's Government and China Tea Research Institute signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The "Expert Workstation" jointly established by both parties was officially unveiled. Both sides will deepen their cooperation in areas such as tea tree variety development, technology transfer, and talent cultivation, marking a new step forward for Mucuan's tea industry in terms of "technology empowerment and integration of industry, academia, and research." Meanwhile, Sichuan Huayi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. signed agreements with Pingwu Xuebaoding Tea Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. of Sichuan Province, Lelishan Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. of Sichuan Province with Beijing Youmin Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Yizhichun Tea Industry Co., Ltd. of Sichuan Province with Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Xiaosan Yue Tea Industry Co., Ltd. of Mucuan with Chengdu Xianting Technology Co., Ltd. of Dingling Group, and Chunfengli Tea Industry Co., Ltd. of Sichuan with Ruihe Shengshi Industry Co., Ltd. of Sichuan.

"The unique ecological environment here produces very high-quality tea raw materials. For us, these products are highly recognized by consumers in the market. Therefore, we will increase our procurement of Mucuan tea products and do a good job in promoting them, working together to push Mucuan tea both within and outside the province, and across the country," said Xu Li, General Manager of Chengdu Lucheng Mingcha Co., Ltd.

The signed projects cover production management, research and development of individual tea products and derivative products, sales, brand marketing, and more. They involve the in-depth development and utilization of ancient tea trees, the transformation of scientific research results, the integration of tea culture and tourism, and the cultivation of tea industry talent. These initiatives will lay a solid foundation for the diversified development of Muchuan's tea industry. "Today, we signed a raw material supply contract with Sichuan Pingwu Xuebaoding Tea Group. This opens up channels for our next steps in large-scale production and product distribution, which has a very positive impact on our company's development," said Fang Yikai, chairman of Sichuan Huayi Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

To build a modern tea industry cluster with a capacity of ten thousand tons, our county has successively issued policy documents such as the "Mu Chuan County High-Quality Development Plan for the Tea Industry," the "Mu Chuan County Work Plan for Building a Strong Chain in the Tea Industry," and the "Guiding Opinions on Supporting the Development of Summer and Autumn Tea." A specialized tea industry service center has been established, along with a dedicated team for building a strong chain in the tea industry, to optimize the entire industrial chain system from "tea leaf cultivation" to refined processing, branding, and integration with tea tourism.

Currently, the county has nurtured 43 tea enterprises, including Yizhichun, Huayi, Lelishan, Xiaosanyue, Yiyaxiang, and Yuanfeng. Among them, there are 2 provincial leading enterprises, 4 municipal leading enterprises, and 2 export-oriented tea enterprises, driving the tea industry chain towards higher-end and internationalization. The goal is to achieve a comprehensive output value of over 5 billion yuan in the tea industry by 2027, with per capita income for tea farmers increasing by more than 8,000 yuan.
