On August 2, the 2nd "Tianfu Daoxiang Cup" Micro-Marathon in Sunny Miyi kicked off with the starting gun fired at Binghaiba Bridge, Salian Town, Miyi County, Panzhihua City. Over 5,000 runners from across the country gathered in Miyi, experiencing a romantic journey amid rice fields, riversides and streets while enjoying the clear mountains, green waters and cool comfort of Sunny Miyi.

Currently, Miyi County adheres to the new pattern of integrated development of the culture-tourism and health care industry. It takes "sunshine" as a link to promote in-depth integration of culture-tourism with agriculture, health care and intangible cultural heritage. With the goal of building an international sunny health and wellness tourism destination suitable for living, traveling, health preservation and working, it is creating a new landscape of integrated culture-tourism development from aspects such as resource endowment, industrial integration and scene upgrading.

The competitive run of this "Tianfu Daoxiang Cup" Micro-Marathon covers a total distance of about 10 kilometers, starting from Binghaiba Bridge and passing through Binghaiba, Buyun Bridge, Grape Orchard, Xincun (New Village) and Sama Bridge. The event also features a special "Health Run" project, which does not have rankings and focuses more on participants' experience and health. Runners could enjoy the fragrance of rice along the way, feel the joy of sports, finish the race in the most relaxed state, and savor the pure fun of running.

Accompanied by the rustling of rice waves in the wind, runners raced alongside the green rice fields of Miyi's Rice-Vegetable Rotation Industrial Park. The sprawling rice fields, crisscrossed by paths, looked like a picturesque scene with wind-blown rice waves. After a fierce competition, Zhang Zhihao from Chongqing won the men's competitive run with a time of 30 minutes and 2 seconds; He Ju from Neijiang, Sichuan, claimed the women's competitive run title with a time of 37 minutes and 28 seconds.

He Ju, the women's champion, said it was her first visit to Miyi, and she felt very happy and excited. "I came with a playful mindset to experience Miyi's cultural and natural scenery. Miyi has abundant fruits and extremely beautiful landscapes. The race route this time was quite unique, with the fragrance of fruits and vegetables all along the way. The enthusiasm of local residents left a deep impression on me, and I will participate in the next race," He Ju added.

A relevant person in charge of Miyi County stated that Miyi took this "Tianfu Daoxiang Cup" Micro-Marathon as an opportunity to showcase the beautiful scenery of "Poetic Pastoral · Impression Salian", promote the development of rural tourism, build distinctive culture-tourism brands and sports consumption scenarios, and facilitate the coordinated development of the sports industry and local economy.
