On August 28, the Development Conference on Building Industrial Clusters and Strengthening Industrial Chains for Panzhihua's Vanadium-Titanium Low-Alloy Wear-Resistant Casting Industry, together with the Commissioning, Construction Start-up and Contract Signing Ceremony for Meililin's Major Projects, was held. The event aims to make intensive efforts in the second half of the year to strive for the achievement of annual goals, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of Yanbian County's economy.  

The three projects completed and put into operation this time are the 600,000-ton Panxi Titanium Concentrate Upgrading and Conversion to Titanium Chloride Slag Project, the 300,000-ton High-end Vanadium-Titanium Wear-Resistant Steel Ball Project, and the 100,000-ton Phase II Project of High-end Vanadium-Titanium Wear-Resistant Materials, with a total investment of 2.4 billion yuan and an expected annual output value of 4.4 billion yuan. The newly started project is Meililin's 15,000-ton Mining Machinery and Equipment Project, which has a total investment of 150 million yuan. It will focus on building a modern equipment manufacturing production line integrating spare parts production, complete machine manufacturing, after-sales service and product R&D. After completion and commissioning, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of approximately 200 million yuan and create over 200 new jobs.  

Yanbian County has unique advantages in developing the vanadium-titanium low-alloy wear-resistant casting industry, and Meililin is a leading enterprise in the wear-resistant field. The projects put into operation this time are not only a new milestone in the enterprise's own development, but also a model project for Yanbian's vanadium-titanium low-alloy wear-resistant casting industry, as well as a vivid practice and strong signal for the casting industry to move towards high-quality development and accelerate industrial upgrading. Promoting the transformation of the casting industry towards intelligence, greenization and high-endization, and improving product quality, production efficiency and sustainable development capacity are the common goals and responsibilities of the entire industry. The association will continue to pay attention to and support the development of Yanbian's wear-resistant casting industry and Meililin's projects, actively play its role as a bridge and link, integrate resources, provide good services, and safeguard the smooth progress of these initiatives.  

Jiang Qijun, Secretary of the CPC Yanbian County Committee, stated that as a leading enterprise in the field of vanadium-titanium wear-resistant material casting industry, Meililin has now become a pillar leader for Yanbian to focus on industrial development, accelerate the construction of the "4+2" modern industrial system, and promote the formation and effectiveness of the "Three Parks and Six Clusters" development pattern. The official commissioning of Meililin's three projects marks the basic formation of the Vanadium-Titanium Wear-Resistant "Double Hundred" Industrial Park, further strengthening the backbone of high-end industrial manufacturing. Yanbian is rich in mineral resources, abundant in clean energy, endowed with unique geographical advantages, complete with park factor supporting facilities, and has a superior business environment. It is hoped that entrepreneurs and experts will continue to support Yanbian's construction and participate in its development, give full play to the leading role of chain-owner enterprises in the industry, promote more industrial projects to be laid out in Yanbian, attract more industrial talents to develop in Yanbian, and facilitate the transformation of more scientific and technological innovation achievements in Yanbian.

The event also held a contract signing ceremony for Meililin's High-end Precision Bearing Project. With an investment of 200 million yuan, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of over 400 million yuan after completion and commissioning. It will not only effectively replace part of foreign imports, but also further enhance the overall competitiveness of China's bearing industry.  

On the same day, the Supply and Demand Matching Meeting for Meililin-related Enterprises was held. More than 30 industry experts and scholars from across the country, as well as heads of over 100 enterprises in the vanadium-titanium low-alloy wear-resistant casting industrial chain and relevant financial institutions, gathered together to discuss the high-quality development of the wear-resistant casting industry.
