On October 22 local time, the 2025 China (Leshan) Cultural and Tourism Promotion Global Tour-Spain (Barcelona) Station event was held in the "Pearl of the Iberian Peninsula".

This is not only an important stage for Leshan to show the charm of culture and tourism to the world, but also a milestone moment in the history of foreign cultural and tourism exchanges in Ebian Yi Autonomous County.

For the first time, Ebian has launched a cultural and tourism promotion for Spanish tourists, leaving a strong mark on the international stage with its unique ethnic customs and mountain and water charm, giving the world a chance to know, understand and yearn for Ebian.

Hu Aimin, Deputy Consul General of China's Consulate General in Barcelona, attended the event and recommended Leshan Culture and Tourism. Jose Felic, Chairman of the Royal Art Association of Barcelona, Domingo Morilla, Chairman of the Catalan Regional Catering and Tourism Association (FIHRT) and the Hotel Industry Association of the City of Valdecamps, Sylvia Cuellar, Executive Committee member of the Catalan Regional Catering and Tourism Association and Chairman of the Hotel and Tourism Association of the Belgarra region, and Zhou Yongwei, President of Spain Friendship Communications Company, also attended the event.

At the event, Leshan showcased the cultural heritage of Jiazhou, the breathtaking landscapes of China, the distinctive spicy and aromatic flavors, and the warm hospitality through promotional videos, photo exhibitions, on-site promotions, and cultural displays. The city expressed sincere hopes to strengthen cooperation with Spain in multiple areas including trade, culture, World Heritage conservation, and tourism. Notably, Ebian Yi Autonomous County made its first-ever promotional effort for Spanish tourists, with its image promotional video receiving enthusiastic applause.

"I had little knowledge of Leshan before, but the photo exhibition, videos, and delegation presentations I just saw left me deeply impressed. We share many similarities yet have distinct differences, such as our shared love for scenic beauty and delicious cuisine," said Domingo Morilla. He noted that Leshan perfectly blends tradition with modernity, and expressed hope this event would mark the beginning of his journey to discover this enchanting destination.

As a world-class tourist destination, Barcelona continues to attract global visitors with its diverse culture, rich cuisine, and passionate football, standing as a shining pearl along the Mediterranean coast. Despite the vast ocean separating them, Barcelona and Leshan resonate deeply in cultural values and urban character. Both being "outstanding guardians" of World Heritage, deepening exchanges between these two cities will serve as another exemplary model for the mutual integration and cultural exchange between Leshan's heritage and global civilizations.
